  3. Here are the names of the files you want to know about:

  5. SF2.BAT      - Run this to play the game!
  6. SF2CFG.EXE   - Run this to configure the game.
  7. README.TXT   - This file.  Installation dox.

  9. SFCHANGE.TXT - Detailed list of changes made from V1.00 to V2.00
  10. SF2MOVES.TXT - Move list for SFLIU20.
  11. SFLIUFAQ.TXT - Frequently Asked Questions file for the SFLIU patches.

  14. * Note that there won't be a new SF2IBM FAQ until version 2.10 is released.

  16. To install SFLIU200, simply unzip the zip files into a new, empty directory,
  17. then run the batch file SF2.BAT.  If you're playing SFLIU for the first time
  18. the batch file will create certain files needed for the patch to run properly,
  19. then it will run SF2CFG.EXE.  From then on running SF2.BAT will start the game
  20. normally.

  22. Remember, only the second player attack keys (Insert, Home, PgUp, etc.) will
  23. start the game at the main menu.  Keys like Enter and Space Bar have no
  24. effect on the game.

  26. The following keys have these effects during a match:
  27.  F1 - Toggle debugging mode.
  28.  F8 - Memory test.  Useless function.
  29.  F9 - Toggle pause.  Hitting any key will advance the action by one frame,
  30.       hit F9 again to resume.
  31. F10 - Return to the main menu.
  32. ESC - Exit to DOS.

  35. Well, here's some tips to configure the game in SF2CFG:
  36.  
  37. 1.  Run automatic video speed detection first.
  38.  
  39. 2.  To optimize game speed, try setting the Voice Source from "SoundBlaster"
  40.     to either "PC Speaker" or "No sound".  Set the manual video speed to 1 for
  41.     the greatest speed.  Valid values range from 1-3750.
  42.  
  43. 3.  Use the default key configuration for the least key conflicts:

  48. Left            F                  Left Arrow
  49. Right           H                  Right Arrow

  59. One last note:  Remember to have at least 580k of conventional memory before
  60. running the game!  A disk cache dosen't do much on improving the speed of
  61. SF2 IBM.
